Petbnb Walks: track and share walks in the Petbnb app

Petbnb Walks is a new feature in the Petbnb app that allows dog owners to track their pet's walk and easily receive updates via chat. With this feature, the dog sitter can mark several key moments during the walk, such as when the dog goes to the bathroom, eats, drinks, or takes a break. Additionally, photos and videos can be shared to bring a smile to the owner's face.

To use Petbnb Walks, all you need to do is download the latest version of the Petbnb app. Once you have a new active booking for a dog, you can track the walk. You can do this by using the "Track Walk" button in the chat of your booking. When you begin the walk, you’ll have the option to track it with the GPS tracker and add marked points, such as:

Poop
Eating
Drinking
Photo
Video

Once the walk is completed, the sitter can share an overview of the route, with any marked points, via chat with the dog owner. This provides a fun and informative way to keep the owner updated on their dog's adventures.

Can owners also live track the walk?

Yes, the owner can also live track the walk! Once the walk has started, the owner will get a notification and the owner can follow their dog on the spot as they are having their adventures. No worries, if you are too late, you can always watch the updates later when the walk has finished.

Can I also track the walk when the booking has not begun yet or has ended?

No, the booking needs to be an active booking, so within the dates of the booking. Example: if you have a booking for 5-10 January, you can only track the walks from 5-10 January. On the 11 of January this button will disappear in the chat of this booking.

Is it mandatory to use Petbnb Walks?

No, using Petbnb Walks is completely optional. It is not a requirement for sitters to use this feature, but it is an extra option that you can choose to provide a fun update to the owner. It is intended as an informal and enjoyable way to reassure the owner and give them a glimpse into the daily adventures of their dog. It is not meant as strict supervision to track where you've been!
