The rules of Petbnb

  • Keep your calendar up to date weekly: Update your calender weekly so that pet owners don’t send requests unnecessarily.
  • Respond within 24 hours to requests: If you don’t respond within 24 hours, the request will expire. If you fail to respond too often, you will receive a warning, and you may eventually be removed from our platform.
  • Always schedule a meet and greet: Meet both the pet owner and the pet beforehand. This ensures it’s a good match and helps avoid having to cancel a booking early due to being unaware of certain behaviors.
  • All bookings with pet owners are paid through Petbnb: Pet owners pay in advance. The sitter's payment will be automatically transferred to your account on the first working day after the job ends. Booking through Petbnb is mandatory  as you may not be insured otherwise.
  • Follow the laws and regulations: Are there any special rules for your apartment, rental property, or local regulations for dog sitting? Make sure you adhere to these rules.
  • Have a busy period coming up? You can temporarily pause your listing or make it available only to owners who have booked with you before. This way, you won’t receive new requests when you know you won’t have time for them.
  • Prevent cancellations: If a cancellation is necessary due to an emergency, follow the cancellation policy guidelines.
  • Provide excellent service: Respond quickly and clearly to pet owner requests. Keep your calendar updated to avoid having to say no. Ensure a great experience for both the pet and the owner during the sitting. This will help you get good reviews and many repeat customers. Petbnb takes care of the rest.
  • You are not employed by Petbnb: Sitting on Petbnb means you are responsible for many things, such as communication with clients. Learn more about  your role as a pet sitter.

Before you start pet sitting, be sure to read our community guidelines, terms and conditions and the sitter agreement

If you follow our rules, we’ll do something in return!

  • New sitters get extra attention temporarily: If your listing is newly live, we’ll feature it high in search results for 2 weeks. This should hopefully lead to some immediate requests. You can also copy your personal URL from the listing and share it on Facebook and Instagram. A pet owner who signs up through your link will receive a  €10 pet sitting credit from Petbnb.
  • Petbnb helps you get more bookings: Petbnb provides you with a strong online presence. We also engage in a lot of marketing. You’ll even find your profile on Google. The more bookings and reviews you have, the higher you will rank in Google search results.

Petbnb wishes you lots of fun with sitting, lovely walks, and fluffy cuddles!
