The commission rate depends on your sitter level. The more you earn, the lower the commission. If you rarely sit for pets, the commission is 18%, but if you sit frequently, the commission drops to as low as 8%. To qualify for a lower rate, your average rating must be at least 4 paws. Levels are recalculated each month based on the previous 12 months.
The commission is automatically deducted from your earnings upon payout, and you can always see the deducted amount on the website. Below are the earnings (paid in the past 12 months) and commission rates for each level:
- Start – Earnings under €300, commission = 18% of pet-sitting fees
- Bronze – Earnings from €300 to €1000, commission = 15% of pet-sitting fees
- Silver – Earnings from €1000 to €2500, commission = 12% of pet-sitting fees
- Gold – Earnings from €2500 to €4000, commission = 10% of pet-sitting fees
- Platinum – Earnings of €4000 or more per year, commission = 8% of pet-sitting fees
Your sitter level is adjusted on the second day of each month. You can check the "progress bar" to see how much more you need to earn to reach or maintain the next level.
I think my commission is incorrect/a commission was too high
Please note! The commission rate for a booking is determined by the sitter level you have at the time the booking request is sent. Therefore, you may have a higher or lower commission on a booking than the rate associated with your current level.
Example:
- Your commission in September is 18%
- Your commission in October is 15%
- Your commission in November is 12%
If you receive a booking request on September 5 for a booking starting on November 5, and you accept it on October 5 (after a positive meet-and-greet), the September commission rate applies, as that is when the request was originally sent. Hence, your commission will still be 18%, even if your commission rate is lower in the month of the booking.
