Pausing your listing: away mode or hiding it from the search results

Modified on Mon, 2 Dec at 5:23 PM

What can I do if I’m temporarily unavailable for pet sitting?

If you’re temporarily unavailable to care for pets, Petbnb offers two convenient options to avoid receiving booking requests during your unavailability:

  • Away mode: This fully deactivates your listing, making it invisible in search results. It’s perfect for taking a longer break. You can reactivate your listing anytime when you’re ready to accept bookings again.
  • Temporarily hide listing from search results: This option hides your listing from search results but keeps it visible to users who have contacted you before. It’s ideal if you’re less available but still open to bookings from previous clients.

How do I pause my listing?

Via the website:

1. Log in to your account.

2. Go to “your listing.”

3. Click “pause listing” in the right-hand box.

4. Choose between “away mode” (your listing is immediately paused for everyone) or “repeat guests only” (previous clients can still find you).

Via the app:

1. Open the app.

2. Go to “listing” at the center bottom of the screen.

3. Under “settings” at the bottom, you’ll see options for “vacation mode” and “temporarily hide my listing from search results.”

By using one of these options, you can prevent receiving requests when you’re unavailable and help pet owners quickly find another sitter who is.
