Creating an account on Petbnb

Creating a Petbnb account is free and easy. Visit petbnb.nl or petbnb.be, or download our app and follow the instructions to create an account.

You can sign up using one of the following options:

• Email address
• Facebook
• Google account
• Apple ID

Creating your sitter profile

After signing up, click on the "Become a Sitter" button. Here, you can create your sitter profile. You will go through several steps:

Personal information

Fill in your personal details. Use your full name, email address, phone number, and complete address. Also, add an emergency contact who can be reached if you're unavailable.

Services and rates

Here, you choose which pets you want to care for (dogs and/or cats) and what services you want to offer (e.g., day care, house sitting, etc.). You will also set your rates for these services. These are pre-set, but you can adjust them up or down. Tip: check what sitters in your area are charging and adjust your price accordingly.

Preferences

In this section, you fill in your pet preferences. You can set a daily capacity (how many dogs you want to care for per service) and whether you want to receive last-minute bookings. You can also specify if you're willing to care for pets from more than one household. Lastly, choose a cancellation policy.

Preferences you can fill in include:

• Dog size
• Age
• Neutered/spayed/heat
• Breeds (you prefer to sit or avoid)

Title and description

Write a brief, engaging text explaining why you enjoy pet-sitting and describing your experience. In at least 100 words, explain what makes you a great sitter!

Photos

Upload at least 3 photos of yourself with pets or, for example, of your home. This will give pet owners a good idea of your experience with pets and where their pet might stay.

References

In the beginning, you won't have reviews yet. It can be helpful to ask friends or family members for testimonials who can confirm your experience with pets.

What are the requirements for a complete sitter profile?

• A clear profile picture of yourself – pet owners need to know who you are.
• At least 3 photos.
• Your bank account details – you need to be able to receive payments. You’ll first go through a bank account verification process and pay a one-time fee of 50 cents. Note: this must be a personal account in your name, not a business account.
• If you have a pet, you need to add it to your profile. This way, only pet owners with pets that can get along with others will find you. This increases the chance of a match and avoids disappointments.
• Complete the training to show your knowledge of pet care.

How long does it take to get approved?

The verification process typically takes 2 to 7 business days. You will receive an email once your profile is approved. We receive a large number of sign-ups, so sometimes it may take longer. If this happens, you can send us a message via the contact form, and we will review your profile as quickly as possible.

Editing your listing

You can make as many changes as you like, at any time of the day. All you need to do is log in and go to "My Listing."

Note: Photos and text that violate our community guidelines will be removed from the platform, and your profile will be deactivated.
