How does the calendar work?

Keep your calendar as up-to-date as possible

Regularly update your calendar/availability to avoid receiving requests for days you are unavailable. If you decline too many requests while your calendar is open, you will receive warnings, which can lead to reduced visibility in search results. After three warnings, your account will be deactivated. While this may seem strict, it is intended to prevent pet owners from facing frequent rejections, which can be disappointing and damage trust in our platform.

How does the calendar work?

Each service you offer is displayed separately on your calendar, identified by its own color. You can adjust availability for a service on specific days or over a period, but unfortunately, not by specific time slots. When a booking is accepted, it will automatically be added to your calendar, so you don’t need to manually adjust it after a booking.

Note: You are responsible for updating the availability of other services yourself.
For example:

  • If you allow a maximum of two pets at your home and already have one booking for boarding and one for daycare on a specific day, the Petbnb calendar may still show availability for one pet for both boarding and daycare. In this case, you’ll need to manually adjust the availability for those services.

To adjust the availability:

  1. Select the specific day.
  2. Adjust the number of pets allowed per service.

Once all spots are full, the calendar will show 0 spots available for that service.

Taking a break from pet sitting?

If you’re temporarily unavailable to pet sit, Petbnb offers two useful options to prevent receiving requests while you’re unavailable:

  1. Vacation mode
This fully deactivates your listing, removing it from search results. It’s ideal for taking a longer break. You can reactivate your listing anytime when you’re ready to accept bookings again.

  2. Hide listing temporarily from search results
This option hides your listing from search results but keeps it visible to users who have contacted you before. This is useful if you’re temporarily less available but still open to bookings from existing clients.

You can find detailed instructions on how to set your listing to vacation mode or hide it from search results [here].
